CuboRex Inc. (Headquarters: Katsushika, Tokyo) announces the launch of the CuGo V4.5, a crawler robot development platform, available for purchase from May 19, 2026.

 

■ Product Overview The CuGo V4.5 is a crawler robot base platform redesigned for AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) and autonomous mobile robot development. Building on its predecessor, the CuGo V4, it retains proven mobility and waterproof performance while introducing four key upgrades.

 

① Top Speed: 4.4 km/h (approx. 2.4× faster than previous model) Powered by Mabuchi Motor's brushless DC motors (200W × 2), the V4.5 delivers the speed range required for AMR field trials in logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, and infrastructure inspection.

 

② Flat Deck (500 × 380 mm) The loading section has been redesigned from a T-slot frame to a flat deck, enabling easy mounting of robot arms, LiDAR, containers, and more.

 

③ External Battery Support A new combined charging/external power port has been added. Swapping to an external battery enables extended continuous operation.

 

④ Wireless ROS Topic Communication Equipped with a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W (Bluetooth / WiFi), the V4.5 supports cable-free ROS 2 development with seamless integration into the Navigation2 stack.
