Crawler Robot Development Platform
Robot development,
faster and more reliably.
A crawler robot development platform with a ROS2-compatible control unit, encoders, and IP65 waterproofing built in as standard. Skip the drivetrain design and manufacturing — and focus entirely on software and algorithm development. Adopted by universities, colleges of technology, and research institutions for agricultural robot, infrastructure inspection, and autonomous mobile robot development.
Overview
DESIGNED FOR
DEVELOPERS.
CuGo V4 is a crawler robot development platform designed for researchers and engineers who want to build autonomous mobile robots using ROS2, SLAM, and Navigation2. Ideal for prototyping agricultural robots, rescue robots, infrastructure inspection robots, and outdoor autonomous mobile robots. Adopted by universities, colleges of technology, and research institutions worldwide.
Features
Features
4 Reasons Why Developers Choose CuGo V4
FEATURE 01
IP65 Waterproofing for Outdoor Fields
Dust and water resistance rated IP65. Operates reliably even in sudden rain or wet environments. Mud and dirt can be washed off with water. Built for harsh outdoor conditions including agricultural robot trials, infrastructure inspection, and rescue training.

FEATURE 02
ROS2 Native Support
— SLAM & Nav2 Ready Out of the Box
The cugo_ros2_control2 package integrates instantly with the Navigation2 stack. The built-in encoders deliver high odometry accuracy, improving the precision of SLAM and AMCL-based localization. Verified on Ubuntu / ROS2 Humble.
FEATURE 03
Bogie Suspension for
Stable Off-Road Travel
Newly introduced bogie-type suspension, absent in V3. Suppresses body vibration on rough farmland, gravel roads, and uneven terrain, maintaining the image quality of onboard sensors and cameras. Max climbing angle of 20° and 9 cm step clearance are fully preserved.

FEATURE 04
Brushless DC Motors
— Long Life, High Torque, High Precision
Features Oriental Motor brushless DC motors (rated 100W/unit). Compared to the brushed motors in V3, torque is significantly increased with longer lifespan and lower maintenance requirements. Speed feedback control ensures stable, precise movement even under load or on slopes.

Choose V4 if:
"I want to get an autonomous robot running with ROS 2 right away."
Choose V4 if you need encoder support and ROS 2, or if you want to focus entirely on SLAM and navigation development.
🛒 Buy the Platform →Choose V3 if:
"I just need the drivetrain to build a prototype or PoC fast."
Control it with any ESC you like, and plug straight into existing systems like RC radio or ArduPilot. The perfect choice when you need to keep costs and timelines tight at the prototype or PoC stage.
