Electric crawler unit for R&D
CuGoMEGA M2
Faq
Basic Information
This is a motorized crawler drive unit with a built-in motor and crawler mechanism.
It is used as the drive base (undercarriage) for mobile robots.
It can be used both indoors and on uneven terrain such as farmland and construction sites.
Delivery takes one to two months from the date of order.
The series has sold over 1,000 units in total.
Performance & Specifications
It has an IP64-equivalent waterproof rating.
The maximum load capacity is 350 kg.
The maximum speed is 1.2 km/h.
It can climb slopes of up to 20 degrees.
It can traverse steps up to 16 cm high.
Approximately 1 to 2 hours (this varies depending on operating conditions such as load weight and incline angle).
It is equipped with a 400W brushless DC motor.
It offers better mechanical efficiency compared to rubber belt crawler systems. In other words, transporting the same load requires less motor torque with a chain drive than with a rubber belt crawler.
They are made of rubber.
Operation & Control
The unit requires three components to be installed: a control unit (motor driver and PC), a power unit (battery), and a structural unit (frame and brackets).
By default, it is operated using a radio transmitter (RC controller).
It uses the MC-8 / MR-8 by Kondo Kagaku.
Yes, however the user will need to configure the transmitter settings themselves.
The MC-8 does not support this. Please consider a third-party transmitter that supports mixing functions.
Approximately 30 to 40 meters, depending on the operating environment.
The default configuration is remote-controlled. Autonomous operation requires the user to develop their own solution.
